Bride Alison's making couples' wedded dreams happen
Planning ... Alison Sanderson
A SOUTH Tyneside mum set up a new business after inspiration struck her – at her own wedding.
Alison Maxwell, 39, tied the knot with 46-year-old Paul Sanderson last November in a dream ceremony she planned herself.
And after helping out pals with their big day, the mum-of-one has made the decision to set up her own wedding planning business, Making Dreams Come True Ltd.
Mrs Sanderson, of Westoe, South Shields, said: "I'd thought about setting up this business for a long time."
"We had a lovely day on our wedding. I had organised everything.
"I am a wedding co-ordinator helping couples plan their wedding day smoothly and without any stress, by planning and organising their day to perfection."
"Planning a wedding takes a lot of dedication and time," she said.
"I am here to make it an enjoyable time, and to make the day magical."
Mum to Rebekka, 11, Mrs Sanderson, who has worked as a legal secretary since the age of 16, is running her first business part time with help from her husband.
"I'm very excited about it as I am doing my own thing, and it's something I enjoy, but I'm a little anxious as well.
"If it takes off, I'd like to do this full time."
Mrs Sanderson and her husband, a printer, married at South Shields Town Hall on November 18, with a reception at The Little Haven Hotel.
She is now keen to hear from any couples planning their wedding across South Tyneside, Newcastle, Sunderland and surrounding areas, to help make their day as special as her own.
She offers a free initial consultation.
